I started running at the age of 30, after my second daughter was born. Running was a wonderful outlet for stress relief as I adjusted to life as the mother of a special needs child. I ran my first half marathon that same year, and my first marathon the following year, finishing in 3:31. As I embark on my 40's I am focused on lowering my marathon PR from 3:04 to under 3:00.
